The intention of Courage to Care is to give students the skills to stand up to peer pressure and discrimination by exploring events in history that depict the struggle for human rights. The "heroes" in these events are highlighted, especially those that had the courage to fight for the rights of others when it was not their own personal struggle.

- A Personal Pledge to Care
